YEREVAN, November 29 — Yesterday the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan and the New EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort discussed the issue of Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation, the press office of the RA Foreign Ministry reports.
The Foreign Minister and the EU Special Representative also discussed the measures to be taken to build trust between the two parties in conflict. During the meeting Edward Nalbandyan called EU Special Representative’s attention upon the anti-Armenian policy and the racial discrimination the Azerbaijani Government conducts at state level.
A wide range of cooperation issues between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union, particularly the recent visit of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton to Yerevan, and the results of the EU-Armenia Cooperation Council meeting held last week in Brussels were as well discussed.

YEREVAN, November 4 – On November 4 Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian received European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Deputy Director Yan Fisher, who arrived in the Republic of Armenia to clarify the priorities of the European Bank in the development of new strategies for Armenia.
During the meeting Yan Fisher noted that EBRD attaches importance to the implementation of programs that will assist in the expansion and development of small and midsize enterprises.
Tigran Sarkisian stressed the necessity to promote diversity in SME financing instruments and attached importance to technical assistance provided by the European Bank.
The Head of the Government considered that cooperation in health-care, pension, insurance and financial spheres has strong perspectives.
Talking about the possible cooperation in the field of infrastructure, the interlocutors discussed the EU funded “South Caucasus Integrated Border Management” project that is implemented by the UNDP.
In particular, the sides discussed EBRD’s participation in the reconstruction and modernization of border crossing points. Yan Fisher, in his turn, noted that the Bank is ready to discuss the issues of assistance in the above mentioned projects.

YEREVAN, October 19 — On October 18 President Sarkisian received Rose Gottemoeller, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, Compliance and Implementation.
During the meeting the Armenian President noted that Armenia continues to view the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (TCAFE) as a pillar of stability and security in Europe and adheres to the objectives and spirit of the Treaty. According to the Armenian President, our country will continue to fully implement obligations assumed in the framework of the Treaty and is mindful of the importance to fulfill obligations stipulated by the Treaty regarding arms control in the South Caucasus since violations of the Treaty provisions have already become a menace for the entire region.
