YEREVAN, January 23 – Armenian rock singer, frontman of Dorians Gor Sujyan was named Republic of Armenia representative at Eurovision 2013, the biggest pop music contest in Europe to be held in Malmö, Sweden late spring, informs Armenian Public Television (AMPTV).
Sujyan was selected by a special commission of experts; the entry song will be chosen by public and jury. National selection final will be aired live on March 2.
Dorians frontman was expected to go to Eurovision last year, but Armenia cancelled its participation in the show hosted by Azerbaijan.
The dates set for the two Eurovision semi-finals are 14 May and 16 May 2013, with the final taking place on the evening of 18 May 2013.

YEREVAN, February 7 — Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan sees Dorians as the best candidates for Eurovision song contest in 2012.
During the interview on February 6, Minister Poghosyan also noted that Armenia should bey all means participate in the Eurovision song contest due to take place in Azerbaijan.
“We should have our participation in all formats and platforms as much as possible. Regardless of the results, we will benefit from the participation,” said the Armenian Minister.
Yet Armenia hasn’t published the name and song of the participant that is to represent our country in Baku.
