YEREVAN, February 13 — “France supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” said Senator Nathalie Goulet, Deputy Chairman of France-Caucasus Friendship Group, France-Azerbaijan Working Group, member of Centrist and Republican Union at the French Senate.
“We believe the occupied territories must be returned and the refugees and those who were compelled to leave must come back to their homeland. I want to stress once again that France’s position regarding this issue remains unchanged,” she said.
As to the bill criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide, Goulet said she is convinced parliamentarians should not write the story, but instead devote themselves to legislation. “In this regard, we hope relying on the French Constitution the Constitutional Council will disapprove that bill,” Goulet said.
