President Sarkisian Received Deputy Secretary Of State William Burns

YEREVAN, October 20 — On October 20 the Armenian President received Deputy Secretary of State William Burns. Welcoming the guest, the President noted that high-level reciprocal visits testify of the ongoing dynamic Armenian-American dialogue.
Sarkisian also noted that Armenia has been resolute to strengthen relations with the U.S. and views these relations as a guarantee for the implementation in our country of the reforms aimed at the economic development, strengthening of democracy and maintenance of regional security.
According to the Armenian President, Armenia attaches importance to the U.S. efforts as OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair that is aimed at the Karabakh conflict peaceful resolution.
The Deputy Secretary of State, in his turn, noted that the U.S. attaches importance to the region, and particularly to Armenia and relations with Armenia.
During the meeting the interlocutors also discussed issues of bilateral regional and economic cooperation.
