YEREVAN, December 27 – The U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia congratulated the Armenian people on New Year and Christmas, the U.S. Embassy press service informs.

“2010 marked a positive and fruitful year in the Armenian-American relations, highlighted by the Armenian President’s visit to the U.S. and Secretary of State Clinton’s visit to Armenia. I hope that the coming year will make these ties stronger, and our cooperation will continue to develop.

I would like to express my appreciation to the Armenian people for their hospitality and warm welcome. It’s an honor for all the Americans to live and work in Armenia.

I hope that 2011 will be a year of peace, happiness and prosperity for the Armenian families. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” a message by Marie Yovanovitch says.
