YEREVAN (Tert.am), April 30–Armenian chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan celebrated her first victory in the Women’s FIDE Grand Prix competition in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, by defeating Chinese player Hu Zao with black figures.
While Mkrtchyan is on the winning side another Armenian player, Elina Danielyan, is having a poor performance, losing to Swedish Pia Kramling with white figures.
With the 4th tour already over Russian player Tatiana Kosintseva is heading the competition list with 3.5 points.
Mkrtchyan and the other five players hold places 4-9 with 2 points. Elina Danielyan is in 12th place with her 0.5 point.
