YEREVAN (Novosti Armenia), April 10–During the working visit of President Serge Sarkisian to the Tavush region, the Head of the Board of Directors of “Troika Dialog” Ruben Vardanyan reported to the journalists that an international school, which meets all the world standards, will open in Dilijan in 2013.

On Friday the president visited the place of the future construction and planted a symbolic tree.

“It is very important to have an educational center which meets modern standards in Armenia, especially in this region. We are a small nation, and we can succeed only through quality,” he said.

The president expressed his gratitude to Ruben Vardanyan for this project and encouraged other successful compatriots to promote the development of Armenia.

“The project is very ambitious, none of the countries of the CIS has such a school yet,” said  Ruben Vardanyan.

He said that about 600 children will be taught in the future school. Most of the teaching staff will be invited from the leading schools of the world, and training will be conducted in English.

Vardanyan said that although the format of the boarding school is unusual for Armenia, it is very common in the West.

He also said that only 30 percent of pupils will be taught for a fee–the school board of trustees will pay for teaching the rest of the students.

Vardanyan added that the purpose of this project is to assist talented Armenian children.
