YEREVAN, September 6– Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II is on a Patriarchal visit in the US, the Press Office of the Holy Echmiadzin reports.

During the visit, the Catholicos of the Armenian Cathedral Church will consecrate the Western Diocese of St. Ghevond in Brbenk (California). On September 12, on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the new church, a Holy Liturgy will be served.

On September 9, in Boston, His Holiness will sanctify the monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

Catholicos of All Armenians is accompanied by the head of the Kotayk Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bishop Arakel Karamian, the ruling bishop of the Diocese of Gegharkunik Marcos Hovhannisyan, the director of the Christian Education Center of Holy Echmiadzin monk Vartan Navasardian, the deputy editor of the official publication “Echmiadzin” monk Step Ananian, the responsible for the foreign-language press Ktrich Devedjian and verger monk Anania Tsaturyan.
