Azerbaijani Forces Try to Storm Artsakh Village
Sep 1st, 2010 | Category: PoliticsYEREVAN, September 1– At approximately 6:30 am Yerevan time on Tuesday the Azerbaijani military made another attempt to cross the contact line along Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
Azeri armed forces tried to storm the village of Verin Chailu, Artsakh.
The Armenian army detected the attempt in time and without delay pushed the enemy back to their former positions, inflicting casualties.
In the melee a 19-year-old Karabakh Defense Army soldier, Rudik Manaseryan, was shot and wounded. The incident is under investigation.
Note that on June 18 near the village of Verin Chailu, an Azerbaijani armed reconnaissance team entered the territory of Nagorno Karabakh. Four Armenian soldiers were killed and four were wounded.
