YEREVAN, August 24–On August 31, the OSCE Mission will conduct regular monitoring of the contact line between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) and Azerbaijan, south-east of the village Kuropatkino in the Martuni region of Karabakh.

The monitoring was agreed to by the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic authorities.

The observation mission from the standpoint of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army is going to be led by the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO) of the OSCE, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk. The observation group will include the CiO assistants Herdich Antal (Hungary) and Hristo Hristov (Bulgaria).

The monitoring mission from the Karabakh side will be accompanied by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

Monitoring from the opposite side is going to be conducted by the coordinator of the OSCE Office Lt. Imre Palatinus (Hungary) and the Field Assistant of CiO Zhaslan Nurtazin (Kazakhstan).
