Vahe Arsen’s ‘The Return of Green Gods’ Translated into Dutch

YEREVAN (Tert.am), February 3–On January 31, Maassluis cultural center in South Holland in the Netherlands hosted a book launch of a Dutch-translated version of “The Return of Green Gods,” a collection of poems written by Armenian poet Vahe Arsen. The book was translated by Anna Maria Martirosyan-Mattaar, reads a release issued by Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Among those who delivered a speech during the presentation were Anna Maria Martirosyan-Mattaar, the head of Maassluis center and Armenia’s Consul in the Hague, Arshak Manukyan.
Vahe Arsen was awarded the Jambe 2010, an annual prize for best young Dutch poet. The first copy of the Dutch translation of the book was given to the Armenian Consulate.
This collection of poems is the latest book translated into Dutch recently. Anna Maria Martirosyan-Mattaar also translated and prepared for publication David of Sasun, an Armenian epic, to be published in April.
