YEREVAN, August 18–Ceasefire violations from the Azerbaijani side were registered near the contact line of the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces on August 14-16.

According to the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Defense, the Azerbaijani fired on the direction of Hadrut, Martuni, Askeran and Martakert with different firearms. After the retaliatory actions from the Artsakh side, the Azerbaijanis ceased fire.

The Artsakh Ministry of Defense informs that there are no victims and wounded from the Armenian side.

Teymur Abdulayev, representative of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, during his interview to the Azerbaijani service Radio Liberty denied the information about ceasefire violations from the Azerbaijani side. Instead he mentioned that cases of ceasefire violations are registered every day from the Armenian side, and that measures taken are retaliatory.
