YEREVAN, August 17–More than three years have passed since the murder of Hrant Dink — the editor of a daily newspaper Agos, published in Istanbul and widely read in the Armenian diaspora.

However, the general manager of the newspaper, Gevorg Tyusyuzyan, thinks that the trial is being unduly delayed.

“The 13 trials didn’t have any significant result on disclosure of the case,” he said.

He also added that the trial of Dink’s murder, which is also constantly postponed, turned into a theatrical performance.

Dink’s murder was discussed worldwide and put a further strain on decades-long fragile Armenian-Turkish relations.

The last hearing was held on July 12 and was postponed until October.

“Unfortunately, the same happens with all the trials of people who deal with the government,” said Tyusyuzyan. “It’s not only in the case of Hrant Dink.”

“The murderer is known to us all, we all know him. But who is behind him? Who is his client? This must be revealed, but no one tries to do it,” he said.
