YEREVAN, August 10 — First ever festival of honey and berries will be held in the town of Berd of Tavush district of Armenia, informed the chairman of non-governmental organization «Serund» («Generation») Hayk Chobanian.
The event is organized by «Spiritual Revival of Tavush» Foundation, “Serund” and “Development and Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions” NGOs.
«The aim of our festival is not only to provide participants and guests with the opportunity to taste marvelous honey and berries grown in Tavush, but to stimulate development of bee keeping products manufacturing in the region», said Chobanian.
According to him, the event will feature exhibition of carpets and tapestries made by the craftsmen of Tavush region, national dances and songs performed by different ensemlbes etc.
The member of Fund`s Council of Trustees Lavrenty Mirzoyan noted that the organizers of the festival intend to make the festival an annual event.
