YEREVAN, July 28– The State Revenue Committee issued a list of 300 largest taxpayers in Armenia.
Almost no changes are observed in the list. Again, major importers of fuel and cigarettes, mobile operators and companies in the field of regulated tariffs, are in the list of biggest taxpayers in the country. The list is headed by ArmRosgazprom.
Note that the largest taxpayers of Armenia paid 22 percent more in taxes this year than the same period the previous year of the crisis.
A spokesman for the company ArmRosgazprom Shushan Sardaryan, in an interview with Radio Liberty, said: “If you have noticed, as compared with the previous year, the tax payments increased in the half-year, particularly on the part of the VAT, and this is mostly because of the tariff increase. With regard to the consumer market, it has also decreased compared with the previous year and according to the first quarter it has decreased about 14 percent, the data for the first half of the year is still being determined. Nevertheless, the major part of tax payments weighty argument is the increase of VAT.”
