YEREVAN, June 6 — National football team of the Republic of Armenia scored a 3-0 victory hosting Kazakhstan in a friendly match Tuesday night as part of continuing preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament starting early in autumn.

Before the start of the match a minute of silence was observed to commemorate the memory of three Armenian soldiers killed at the front line and Kazakh border guards killed at the border with China.

The first goal was scored by the Armenian halfback Gevorg Ghazarian hiting the target in the 6th minute of the match. Half an hour later Ghazarian doubled his success scoring the second goal. The last minutes of the match were marked by the third goal of the Armenian team kicked by Yura Movsissian.

The Armenian national football team is scheduled to have its next friendly match against Belarus at Yerevan’s Hrazdan stadium on August 15.
