Turkish Businessmen Urge Opening Armenian-Turkish Border
Feb 3rd, 2010 | Category: BusinessYEREVAN (Novosti-Armenia), February 3–The Turkish organization “East Anatolia Exporters Union” that operates in Erzrum urged Turkish officials to open the land border between Armenia and Turkey, the Armenian newspaper “Haykakan Zhamanak” reported.
The Turkish businessmen think that it’s better to leave the history of Armenians and Turks in the past and to move forward.
They also declared that they periodically meet Armenian businessmen with the purpose of increasing the trade volumes between these two countries and developing new programs of cooperation.
However, the Turkish authorities connect the opening of Armenian-Turkish border with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
