YEREVAN, May 29 — The Armenian grandmaster Gabriel Sargissian won Chicago International Chess tournament being held for the 21st time.
With his 7 points out of a possible 9 Grandmaster from Armenia left behind his nearest persecutors American chess players Hess, Ramirez and Ludwig scoring 6.5 points.
The winner gets 10 000 USD out of total cash fund of the tournament 100 000 USD.
Another Armenia Grandmaster Varuzhan Hakobian ended the tournament with 5.5 points.
