Aram Khachaturian Trio To Perform «Musical journey» in Yerevan

YEREVAN, May 24 — Piano trio after Arama Khachaturian will perform at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan on May 30. They will present their experimental project «Musical Journey», featuring screening of the cities around the world with the accompaniment of classical music, the pianist of the Trio Armine Grigorian told the journalists.
According to her, Aram Khachaturian music will symbolize Armenia, Rakhmaninov music — Russia, the sites of Poland will be accompanied by Shopen`s music and those of Hungay — by Bartok`s music. Fragments from Debussy works will be played agains a background of the French cities, Argentina will be presented by Piazzolla, Italy — by Marchello and the USA — by Gershwin.
Ahead of Aram Khachaturian’s birthday on May 6, Aram Khachaturian Trio’s all projects are dedicated to the great composer. Within the framework of the celebrations of Aram Khachaturian’s birthday, the ensemble will also perform Aram Khachaturian’s little known works, Grigoryan noted.
Aram Khachaturian Trio will perform concerts and hold master-classes in the Armenian regions from June 6, she said.
