YEREVAN, July 22– President Serge Sarkisian met with young representatives of the Armenian diaspora in Sevan, who arrived in Armenia with the movement “Miasin” and the program “Ari Tun.”
The representatives were interested in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The president said that the negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict are held within the framework of OSCE Minsk Group. There were new proposals during the meeting in St. Petersburg and Azerbaijan should answer whether it supports them or not.
“If Azerbaijan accepts the principles submitted by the Minsk Group, the negotiations will continue. If not, other ways will be found. The negotiations are going on at present. There are recent suggestions that were made in St. Petersburg. We say that this document provides an opportunity to continue negotiations. Let’s see what Azerbaijan has to say,” he said.
He noted that the settlement must be based on the following three principles: territorial integrity, the right to self-determination and non-use of force.
