YEREVAN, April 26 — In its April 26 sitting the Cabinet admitted the decision on Patent Fees according with the law on Patent Fees of the Republic of Armenia. It envisaged relieving tax burden of small and medium sized business.
According to Tigran Sargsyan the business entities which carry out patent activities for a three-month or longer, will pay less tax than those who pay with a month term.
Privileges will be offered to restaurants with an area of up to 20 m2. The Prime Minister stated that food markets with smaller areas will pay two and a half time lower tax. He noted, that it would be incorrect if large stores enjoy the same right, assigning appropriate bodies to offer their suggestions on removing large-scaled businesses from patent fees class.
