Grigoryan and Haratyan Named Chess Champions of Armenia

YEREVAN (Novosti Armenia), January 29 –Avetik Grigoryan became the winner of the 70th Chess Championship of Armenia, and Anahit Haratyan became the winners of 65th Chess championship among women, according to the official site of the Chess Federation of Armenia.
The winner among the men was defined in advance, and Grigoryan was already celebrating his victory a round before the end of the championship.
There was a real struggle among the women, but Anahit Haratyan managed to beat Siranush Andreasyan in the last round to become the women’s champion.
