European Market Is Important For Armenia, PM

YEREVAN, April 5 – Republic of Armenia is greatly interested in integration within CIS and EurAsEC, but on the other hand European market is also vital for us, Armenia PM Tigran Sargsyan told in his interview with Russian “Kommersant” paper. Our geopolitical situation forces us to expand economic space, which is a precondition for active delelopment of Armenia economy.
In this regard the Premier of Republic of Armenia stressed the necessity of applying European standards. Food safety is a key issue in this regard, the european consumer must be sure that the products from Armenia meet all European quality and safety standards.
The process of introducing and impementing of these standards will take about three years, and only then a large European market will be open for us, concluded the Premier.
