Turkish Minister Watches Over Armenian Church Turning Into Culture Center

YEREVAN, March 30 — According to the information provided by the Turkish newspaper, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ertugrul Gunay visited a historical Armenian church in Amasya province. The church currently undergoes restoration, after the restoration the church will serve as a culture center.
The Armenian church was opened before the Armenian Genocide. After the formation of Turkey, until 1980s Dogan Sinemasi Culture Center was working in the church, later it was given to the Turkish Office of Religious Affairs.
