YEREVAN, July 20–A few weeks ago posters with the photo of this pretty boy appeared in Yerevan streets. They asked people for help to save Eric’s life, who suffers from cancer.

The posters caught the attention of the action group “For Life,” who try to support children suffering from cancer. On July 19 they organized a press conference, aimed at calling on all citizens to make their tiny donation. “Indifference Kills” and “Let’s Save Eric’s Life Together” were the slogans of the press conference.

The group members have already collected three million dram to help Eric (720,000 dram from the charity concert). Because of unstable health conditions the boy is currently in Russia. First he took chemotherapy in Stavropol, then was taken to one of the best Moscow clinics,  where he receives chemotherapy. According to the doctors the therapy will have its positive influence on Eric’s health. But much money is still needed.

According to the members of “For Life,”  there are a lot of people that do not even believe that Eric will recover. “They call and tell us–he will die, anyway. Many nonconformists call and suggest joining them and saving the child with prayers. But we want to help him with our actions,” the group members said.

On July 19 “One Dram, One Life” was started by the members of “For Life.” The proceeds will be directed towards the treatment of children suffering from cancer. The group members also mentioned that they did not turn to any businessmen, as this is a civil action. As citizens, they will support if they wish to.

Even very little money can make a big difference and your donation can be a small but fatal step towards Eric’s recovery.
