YEREVAN, February 22 — Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian received Ambassador Andrei Sorokin, the newly appointed Head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office in Yerevan.

Tigran Sarkisian congratulated the newly appointed Head of OSCE Office in Yerevan. “I am sure you will continue the established traditions. Armenian Government is interested in expanding cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and OSCE,” he said. In his turn, Sorokin highly appreciated the activities of OSCE Office in Yerevan, and assured he would spare no effort to strengthen and expand the cooperation.

The interlocutors discussed the details regarding the introduction of Armenian government’s “Regulatory Guillotine” instrument for rapid reforms. Tigran Sarkisian thanked the OSCE Office in Yerevan for supporting its implementation. Last year on November 3 the Government of the Republic of Armenia and international organizations signed a letter of intention on raising the efficiency of Armenia’s economic governance by means of a regulatory guillotine.

The parties also exchanged views on cooperation in improving the electoral process in the Republic Armenia.
