Shushi to Be Beautified Within Two Years

Shushi" width="262" height="161" />YEREVAN (Novosti-Armenia), January 25–The programs that are planned to be realized in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Shushi will completely change its look in two years, informed the chief executive of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund, Ara Vardanyan.
He said that the list of the provided programs includes the full beautification of four streets of Shushi, as well as a face-lift of 10-15 buildings’ roofs and the beautification of external look of the city. Also the schools named after Khachatur Abovyan and Muratsan and the city’s libraries will be repaired. The city will also be given three additional ambulances.
Vardanyan has expressed confidence that Shushi’s population will naturally increase in three to four years, because more and more people will have a desire to live there.
Vardanyan said that a sum of about $2.8 billion dram is needed to realize this program.
“We already have this sum, so all the mentioned programs will be fully realized,” Vardanyan said. “The projects have already been planned and the work will begin in two to three months.”
