YEREVAN, December 16 – The session of the Armenian Government confirmed the strategy of industrial export-oriented policy on December 15.

Introducing the draft, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Davtyan stated that the document comprises the problem in the sphere, goals, actions and results to be registered till 2020.

As the Minister stated, export volume is due to be doubled till 2015 and will reach up to $3bln till 2020.

Supreme Council headed by the Armenian Prime Minister will be established within the strategy adopted.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian, in his turn, suggested that the private sector should be more represented in the project than the public sector.

“Private sector’s participation should be updated on a rotation basis annually,” said the Prime Minister.
